informXL Analyzer for BRIX Installation Requirements

Minimum Requirements 

• Hyphen BRIX  
• Microsoft Office 365, Office 2019, or Office 2016 
• Microsoft Windows 10 / Windows Server 2012 or higher 

Installation Summary 

informXL Analyzer operates using a Microsoft Excel add-in. This add-in must be installed within each informXL user’s Office profile. All informXL installation files must be placed in a shared Windows folder directory accessible to all informXL users. 

Application Installation 

On each user machine, run the “Setup – Analyzer BRIX” and “Microsoft ODBC Driver for SQL Server” installation files from within the informXL “User Setup and Documentation” directory.  

 

 

 

BRIX User ID Setup 

Each informXL Analyzer user must also be setup as a unique user in Hyphen BRIX. This includes users that do not normally log into BRIX but plan to use informXL Analyzer. User IDs must be setup in BRIX as follows: 

“ixl.” + Windows user login 

Example: If a user’s Windows login name is “jsmith” a user login account must be set up in BRIX as “ixl.jsmith”. 

To disable or prevent a user from running informXL Analyzer, i.e. upon employee termination, this BRIX user login should be removed from BRIX.
